Simon qualified in 1989 (BTEC National Diploma) from South London College, later returning to complete a HNC in Advanced Crown and Bridge in 1991. Having gained 2 years work experience at St George's Laboratory under close tutelage from Mr R F Ives, Simon has continued to work at St Georges Laboratory since 1987.
In 2011 Simon qualified with distinction from the Royal College of Surgeons London being amongst the first cohort of dental technicians to train and register as Clinical Dental Technicians (CDT's) in the UK.
Simon has over 25 years of experience as a dental technician and is committed to providing a high standard of care to patients, collaborating face to face with the patient/dentist to ensure that each procedure is completed to the patients satisfaction. Simon advises on implant design/selection and design/manufacture of all removable appliances/dentures.
Simon is a member of the Dental Laboratories Association and is accredited with the British Bite Mark Scheme which promotes British labs providing services produced in the UK complying with current UK legislation. Simon keeps up to date with continuing professional development by attending numerous clinical/technical courses.
In his spare time Simon enjoys squash, badminton, cycling, is an archery/rifle instructor and a level 1 football coach so gives time to the Scout movement.
